Locations, transfers and checkouts

In Settings → Locations, start with Add Warehouse, then use Add child to go as deep as you need: Warehouse › Zone › Aisle › Shelf › Bin. Each location can print its own labels.

• Your plan limits the number of warehouses (Free 1, Starter 2, Pro 5, Business 15). Zones, aisles, shelves and bins inside them are not counted.
• A Quarantine location counts as stock on hand but is never available to pick or sell — useful for damaged or returned goods.
• Each item has a Default Location, used by the photo grid and as the first suggestion.

To move stock from one bin to another, open the item and use Transfer stock (on the phone: Transfer). Pick the From location and To location and the quantity. The move is instant and works on every plan.

1. 1In Transfers, create a transfer: choose From and To, add items with Add item, and optionally a Carrier reference and Expected arrival.
2. 2Save draft to finish later, or Create and ship. Shipping moves the stock into In transit: still on hand, but no longer available at either site.
3. 3At the destination, Receive the transfer: enter the Received quantity per line or use All arrived. A shortfall is recorded as a transit variance with a reason.

Transfers are numbered TRF-00001. Cancelling a transfer in transit returns the stock to the source. The phone app can ship and receive transfers by scanning.

Checkouts tracks who has what, and when it comes back. Use Check Out on an item: choose a Team member or Someone else (with a phone or email), the Quantity, an optional Due Date and the location to take it from.

Return accepts partial returns and puts the stock back where it came from. Late items turn Overdue and an alert goes out. The Who has what tab lists everything out per person. Checkouts are on every plan, including on the phone.
