Why scan instead of type
Typing SKUs on a phone is where inventory errors start: a transposed digit, the wrong size of the right product, a quantity entered against the item one row up. Scanning removes the lookup step, so the person on the floor confirms a quantity instead of hunting for a line.

Scan to find any item
Scan a barcode or QR code and the app opens the matching item and variant, with its stock at each location. Codes are matched against item barcodes and SKUs.
Scan-to-receive deliveries
Open a purchase order, scan a carton, and the app matches it to the order line and prefills the quantity still due. Confirm, and the scanner is ready for the next carton.
Batch scanning for stock in and out
Scan a run of items in one session and record them together as stock in, stock out, or an adjustment — for restocking a shelf or writing off damaged goods in one pass.
Keeps working without signal
Stock movements recorded offline are queued on the phone and sync when the connection returns. Anything that conflicts with newer data is set aside for review instead of silently overwriting it.
Print barcode labels
Print labels in CODE128, EAN-13, UPC, CODE39, QR, or GS1-128 on Avery sheets or label stock through any printer, or send them straight to a Zebra thermal printer. The mobile app can print and share labels too.

Frequently asked questions
- Do I need a barcode scanner to use InventoryFlo?
- No. The iOS and Android app reads barcodes and QR codes with the phone camera, so any staff phone works as a scanner. There is a torch toggle for dim shelves and stockrooms.
- Which barcode formats can I print?
- CODE128 (the default, which encodes any text), EAN-13, UPC, CODE39, QR codes, and GS1-128 with GTIN, lot, and expiry. Labels print on Avery sheets or small, medium, and large label sizes through the browser print dialog, or as ZPL directly to Zebra thermal printers.
- What if my products don’t have barcodes?
- Print your own. Labels use the item’s barcode if it has one, or its SKU otherwise. Stick them on shelves or packaging, and scanning the label opens that item.
- Can I scan without an internet connection?
- Stock movements recorded while offline are saved on the phone and synced automatically when you reconnect. Anything that conflicts with changes made in the meantime is listed for review rather than overwritten.
